Hoodlums strip party chieftain naked in Ogun

Pandemonium broke out in Abeokuta when a  chieftain  of  the All  Progressives Congress, APC, in  Ogun State, Mr Emmanuel Ajala, was beaten blue black by suspected political thugs, who also stripped him naked.

Ajala was attacked at about 6:30pm, on Saturday, while going to his Gbonagun home in Abeokuta. His  attackers were apparently on his trail.

Vanguard gathered that three men operating on a motorcycle were alleged to have overtaken the politician’s car and flagged him down then pounced on him.

A three-year old boy, Ola William, Wednesday, fell into an open well and drowned at Ofada area of Mowe, Ogun State.

It was learnt that the well had been left uncovered since it was dug, but was quickly covered after the boy who had been playing close to the well, died inside it.

The mother of the child said she went to Lagos for business purpose and that she did not always leave the boy, her only child, behind whenever she went out. But on the day of the tragedy, the boy was left with her younger brother, Tosin, who later went out and left the boy with her grandmother at home.It was gathered that when William’s mother came back from Lagos, she inquired about the whereabouts of her child, but no one could tell her where he was as none of the neighbours saw him wander towards the well.

After a long search, one of the search parties discovered the slippers of William beside the well. The little boy was seen floating on water, having been dead for hours.

Executive Director, Esther Child Rights Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO, Mrs. Esther Ogwu who spoke to P.M.NEWS said the demise of the boy was reported at the police station at Ofada and was later referred to the Owode Police Station.

She said the deceased’s death certificate was obtained at the Owode General Hospital before the burial was conducted.

Ogwu advised parents to always take proper care of their children to avert similar tragedy.

“Parents should monitor the movement of their children. That boy was their only child and now he is dead. It is very sad that this kind of thing should happen to the family,” she said.

Boko Haram Attacks Hostel At Midnight Kills And Burn 42 Students Inlcuding A Teacher

Islamic militants attacked a boarding school in northeast Nigeria before dawn Saturday, killing 29 students and one teacher. Some of the pupils were burned alive in the latest school attack blamed on a radical terror group, survivors said. Parents screamed in anguish as they tried to identify the charred and gunshot victims.
Farmer Malam Abdullahi found the bodies of two of his sons, a 10-year-old shot in the back as he apparently tried to run away, and a 12-year-old shot in the chest.

"That's it, I'm taking my other boys out of school," he told The Associated Press as he wept over the two corpses. He said he had three younger children in a nearby school.
"It's not safe," he said. "The gunmen are attacking schools and there is no protection for students despite all the soldiers."

Survivors at the Potiskum General Hospital and its mortuary said gunmen attacked Government Secondary School in Mamudo village, 3 miles from Potiskum town at about 3 a.m. Saturday.

They killed 29 students and an English teacher Mohammed Musa, who was shot in the chest, according to another teacher, Ibrahim Abdu

What would OJB do? – Now he has excess Money

When OJB turned to the general public to seek for financial help (100,00 dollars) in order to pay the medical bills of the ailment he is sadly afflicted with, he trusted that Nigerians, irrespective of the general hardship which we live in, would answer. And answer they did.

A lot of individuals made private donations to either of the 2 bank accounts (in his name) that was provided. And not just ordinary Nigerians, we have heard that some fellow entertainers came to his aid with the likes of Don Jazzy, D’Banj, PSquare (who gave 5 million naira), etc donating to the loving and humane cause of ensuring that OJB survives this trying period of his life.

Considering that he asked for 100,000 dollars and has not been clear with the public concerning how much he has raised, the public do not know whether the expected figure has been reached or even exceeded. Today we have been told that the Rivers State governor has donated the entire 100,000 dollars that the young man needs in one lump sum.

So, the question arises, should OJB pull down his banners and request cards for donations to him considering the amount of money he has already received?
Now that he has gotten all these money and in excess of what he asked for, should he return the rest to the donors or better still find causes in Nigeria – people who need help just like him, and hand the excess over to them because he did not earn the money neither did he work for it. It is simply donations and you are not meant to enrich yourself with donations.

I am not being harsh on OJB simply because, Nigerians are always willing to help whenever there is need and since we live in a society where people are in constant need of help, those who have received what they asked for, should clear the line for the numerous others who are in dire need of help to receive help.

So now that OJB has received more than he asked for, he needs to exhibit the same kindness and love he received from others by making donations of the excess that he has received to those people who need it all over the nation.

So, what would OJB do?

To whom much is given………

Doctors advise family to turn off Mandela’s Doctors advise family to turn off Mandela’s life support machine

DOCTORS treating Nelson Mandela have advised his family to turn off his life support machine, since according to them, he is in a “permanent vegetative state.”
Also, a legal filing related to a family dispute over reburying the remains of Mandela’s three children indicated on Thursday that Mandela “is in a permanent vegetative state and is assisted in breathing by a life support machine.”

According to AFP, Mandela’s family have been advised by the medical practitioners that his life support machine should be switched off.
The family had earlier confirmed that Mandela “is being kept alive by a breathing machine,” while restoring the family gravesite on Thursday.
Earlier on Thursday, court documents had shown that Mandela faces “impending death.”
Mandela’s health is “perilous” and he is being kept alive by life support, according to documents filed in the court case that resulted in the remains of the former president’s three deceased children being reburied on Thursday in their original graves.
“The anticipation of his impending death is based on real and substantial grounds,” the court filing said.
“He’s basically gone,” said Charlene Smith, an authorised biographer of the former anti-apartheid leader. “He’s not there. He’s not there.”
Doctors claimed that “a younger person putting on mechanical ventilation, life support can be weaned off the machine and recover, but that it can be difficult or impossible for an older person.
“The longer a person is on ventilation, the less the chance of recovery, the chief executive of the Faculty of Consulting Physicians of South Africa told AP.
“Usually if a person does need that, any person, not keeping in mind his age at all, for any person it would be indicative of a grave illness,” Kok said.
“When they say “perilous” I think that would be a fair description,” the doctor said.
In Mandela’s hometown, Qunu, on Thursday, the bodies of three of his children were returned to their original resting site following the court order.
The reburial took place in Qunu, where Mandela grew up and where the former president has said he wants to be buried. Forensic tests earlier confirmed the remains were those of Mandela’s children.
Mandela’s grandson, Mandla Mandela moved the bodies to his village of Mvezo, Nelson Mandela’s birthplace, in 2011.
The two towns are about 25 kilometres (15 miles) apart. Fifteen Mandela family members pursued court action last week to force the grandson to move the bodies back to their original burial site.  life support machine

SHOCKING: Gospel Singer Tope Alabi In s*x Scandal With Her Pastor

It has been in recent news that Yoruba gospel singer, Tope Alabi and her spiritual leader Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku’s relationship has been strained for months now.

But a new twist has been added to the saga.

Prophet Ajanaku has allegedly made a shocking revelation about the respected Tope Alabi. The popular prophet said his trouble with Tope Alabi started because of s*x:
On his relationship with Tope Alabi;

She actually met me 11 years ago when she came to church crying that since she was married she had no child. I told her that by the grace of God when we shall be holding another anniversary she will come and dedicate her child before God. I have pictures of the child dedication, I christened the child Deborah.

There are many things concerning her and the husband that I will never tell anyone, never ever. If she had not said that she met me only six years ago, I would not have called you to show all these pictures. And if I say what God has used me to do in their lives, with proofs and medical test records in their hands, they will be ashamed of themselves.

On what really happened;

I’m wondering if she’s being foolish or just stupid. I remember when she was putting pressure on me to have s*x with her. She did not hide her urge to have s*xual relationship with me. At a point she could not control her urge to do that but I declined, I said never, not me. Ask these people here (in chorus, the members seated confirmed his claim).

Woman, 35, faces murder charge for killing baby

A Yaba Magis-trates’ Court, yesterday, said a dry cleaner, 35-year-old Aderoju Ojelabi, who allegedly killed her day-old baby, had a case to answer in court.

Lagos — A Yaba Magis-trates’ Court, yesterday,  said  a dry cleaner, 35-year-old Aderoju Ojelabi, who allegedly killed her day-old baby, had a case to answer in court.

At the resumed hearing of the case, the Magistrate, Mrs S.K. Matepo, said: “A murder case has been established against the accused and consequently, her case will be transferred to a court of superior record.”

She said that advice from the state Directorate of Public Prosecutions, DPP, had established a prima facie case of unlawful killing against the accused.

Consequently, Matepo ordered that the case file be transferred to the Lagos High Court for trial.

Ojelabi was first arraigned on December 10, 2012, and charged with the wilful abandonment and murder of her child.

At her arraignment, the court failed to take the plea of the accused, but ordered that she be remanded in prison custody pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The prosecutor, Police Inspector Chris Takim, had told the court that the accused, who resides at 1, Honourable St., Odo-Ishuti Road, Egan, a Lagos suburb, committed the offence on November 24, 2012.

He said the accused had claimed that her baby’s father had abandoned her while she was pregnant. Takim said after delivery of the baby on November 23, 2012, Ojelabi decided to get rid of it.

The prosecutor said the accused who gave birth at home, put the baby in a sack and proceeded to dump the child in a swamp at the end of Morica Salam Street, Egan.

He said the dead baby was later discovered by one Mrs Esther Adegbola, who had gone to the area to dispose off some garbage.

Takim had said the offence committed contravened Section 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The section provides that if found guilty, she could face the death penalty.

Gay Pastor Who Allegedly Defiled Member Paraded By The Police

26 suspected criminals were yesterday paraded by the Edo State Police Command. One of the suspects was a pastor identified as Philips Ogbebor, alleged to have had carnal knowledge of a 20-year-old male member of his church.

Reports say the pastor allegedly threatened to kill his
victim if he disclosed the act to the public.

In his defense, Pastor Ogbebor simply said: “God will judge, go and talk to others” and kept on mumbling as newsmen asked questions.

His victim(name withheld) however narrated his ordeal: “I told him I have never done this since I grew up, but he insisted. It was painful and I told him I will not allow it again. So after the second attempt, I told him I will expose the act. He then administered an oath on me, saying if I ever told any one, I will die.

“He carried sand and olive oil and poured them on my head, then he wore black garment, saying I will die if I ever leaked the secret. He killed a black fowl and gave me the liver and gizzard to eat at about 2 a.m., threatening that if I ever said it out, I will die like the fowl.

“But when I realised that it is a sin, I met a man of God to pray for me that God should forgive me and that I am ready to expose it since he forced me. There after I went to the church and told the congregation about the act. When he heard it, he threatened me by sending his younger brother and members of his gang after me. Since then I have been running.”

Parading the suspects, the state Police Commissioner, Folusho Adebanjo, explained that among the suspects were two suspected cultists believed to have participated in the recent rival cult clash in the state and seven suspected pipeline vandals and operators of illegal refineries.

“The war against criminality is relentlessly being waged against men of the underworld. The command is not leaving any stone unturned regarding crime and criminality in Edo State,” Adebanjo said.

“This man who claimed to be a pastor defiled a young person. Another thing that is so common here and I don’t know why this defilement issue is so prevalent.”

Others paraded were two suspected robbers, from whom a Toyota Camry car they stole at gunpoint in Kaduna State was recovered; a suspect who was alleged to have demanded N20 million ransom from one Joseph with death threats and three others whom the police boss said were in possession of firearms without licence were also paraded.

There was also an alleged case of molestation against two suspects who were said to have forced a 20-year-old female. He also paraded five persons including a middle aged woman all from Ojah, Akoko-Edo Local Government council accused of burning to death, one Funmi Abiodun on allegation of being a witch responsible for the death of a relation.

“I wonder if there is something about it. You see very old men defiling young girls who are five years, two years, and so on. We are not going to tolerate this and cases of r*pe are also increasing too but we will go all out to make sure that they are convicted,” Adebanjo said.

In addition, Okoro said the accused was told that for her to be accepted back into her matrimonial home, she would  perform some traditional rites of cleansing.
His words: “She agreed to demonstrate her love and loyalty and moved back to my house on February 14, 2012 and we started living together again until May 17,2012, when she went to an Ikeja High Court to file for nullification of her marriage with Mr Ogunmefun before Justice Oyewole.’’
Okoro, however, said his wife moved out of his house again on November 3, 2012, noting that she suddenly wrote him a letter through her lawyer, Taiwo and Taiwo, in December 2012 claiming that the two children she had for him were not his.
He said: “On March 26, 2013, I got a court summon, the petitioners were Adedoyin Ogunmefun and Babatunde Ogunmefun, claiming that my children were Babatunde’s children, with a fake DNA result purported to embarrass me and my children, the matter which has long been strucked out by a magistrate court sitting in Surulere,” he added.
